a green item trader
i would really like to have a green item merchant in the game. not one who sells green item but one you can sell yours to. i like this idea because i belive many of people must hae the same issue of not being able to sell some of there greens they just found. pls can someone post what they think of this idea. thanks

i like the idea and honestly green items are the only weapons that would work well at a trader because of all the mods and different styles of other weapons. plus the relative perfection of the items, nad the ease with which they could be unloaded should be able to cut down on the in game spam.

I love to play and I love finding greens, but I hate selling. And I know people get sick of the spam (yes, I use the Trade Channel, but a lot of people don't). I wouldn't mind taking a small hit selling to a merchant instead of a player. Then I could get back to play time.

an auction house would be a good idea for this right? you could set it up to sell for a buyout and split.

i think a green items trader would be good for basically keeping everyone posted on how much greens are worth now a days

Greens are at an all time low. Razorstone is going for 35k (and dropping), compared to 80k a month and a half back. If you add a Green Trader, all those who see him first buy Razorstones for 100g, causing the price to skyrocket to beyond 35k. Now people have bought Razorstones for 100g and can sell them again for 50k, while the farmers still provide a large quantity of greens into the economy, dropping the price again to even lower than today(20k maybe, or even lower), making a few lucky guys rich(er) if they sell fast and those lucky enough to pick one up while doing the quest will be able to sell it for 20k or less.
Not to mention the greens from GF will be worth even less...I can't even give away Flint's and Thorgal's stuff to guildies...

i wasnt meaning it where a green trader sells greens i was meaning it where you can sell them to him. at the moemnt i ahve like 10 greens which i carnt sell because no one wants them so i though this would be a great idea where you could just go and sell one instead of it just sitting there.

but that trader must follow the real prices of the greens, or it will be impossible to sell/buy them in town to other people.

I dont understand if the green are perfect mods and most golds are not. why are the green items only worth 35 gold to merchant and a gold shield with no mods is like 200 - 300 gold to merchant (explain that a-net if you can which i doubt they will or can).

/signed EDIT: if the trader also sells them, otherwise it's a bad idea
I would think they would work in the same way to the rare materials trader, ie ectos are only 100g to the merchant but 7K to the rare materials trader.
The good thing about a greens trader is that it would give people who only buy Factions access to the greens from SF without getting gouged by other players and hopefully without the need for A.Net to create equivalent greens in Factions.

They could just make it so the merchant pays more for them.

it is a pain to sell, i wouldnt mind a small dock in the price being able to unload it quick, and notice he said it does not sell greens.

Two words: Auction house. It's difficult enough to sell greens, let alone acquiring them. Having an auction house would allow players to possibly get that green, and other players to sell their greens. That way we don't have to spam for weeks, trying to get rid of them.

Auction house will fix your need of this. (coming soon?)
Use Buy/Sell forums(like gurus here) for ingame items.
IMO. Greens were meant to be rare and kept for its perfect stats. In games like these, everyone knows there's always profit for rarer things in games. Yet, personally, I get greens to keep and use, ones I get the one I want, I stop. If there is an off chance I get more than one type, I trade or keep it for future use for me or someone else. Never sold any greens, since they are farmable. If you really want to sell greens that bad, take off 5k from your price. (since some players have the ability to get them over and over anyways.)
/might complicate things, I dont feel like getting another rollback
/g'day.

-And if auction houses aren't implemented?
-Using the forums still requires you to hold the item.
-Btw, Greens aren't rare. They drop the same mods everytime. They are just like collector's items with added mods that drop from monsters instead of having to trade for them. Greens were meant to make max golds cheaper so more people can afford the mods and skins. Only problem with greens is that a lot of added modifiers (non-inherent) are not great combinations.
Besides even if the trader sold greens, they could set the initial price at 50k or so and let it drop down till it reaches market price.
Btw nice avatar, Black Rider ftw.

rare meaning special (perfect mods already).
thats why greens were placed where they are.
special areas, boss drops.
just bcuz some players cant sell them doesnt mean they need help getting sold...again IMO.

I'm not sure about this one.
Greens were meant to give perfect items to all the more casual players. They weren't meant to be sold for hundreds of platinum. I think the market for greens right now, is about what it should have been at the start.
I admit though, that I would like to sell my greens. I farm for them, but I'm farming for certain ones, I often get ones I don't want. I try giving them to guildmates or for free to people in town, but sometimes that takes more effort than trying to sell them.
But I agree, the auction house would be a much nicer way to take care of selling items than adding in another trader.

NOT ONE THAT WOULD SELL THEM, but one that would buy them would be great.
I'd like to see the same thing for "Mod Traders", except it would be nice if they would sell the one's you already unlocked(not the green item trader though).
